Real-world Internships in Science & Engineering (RISE) Program

The 5th Annual RISE Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground is a one-of-a-kind paid internship experience for high school students interested in STEM.

Thank you for your interest in the APG RISE PROGRAM. We are currently planning our 2019 Season. Please check back in December for program information and applications.

The RISE Program is a two-week internship program for current High School students from Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City public schools.

Program participants work with professional engineers and scientists to complete results oriented work. In addition to technical skills, students develop professional skills through a series of leadership workshops.

Over the course of the two-week RISE Program, students spend between six and seven hours each day working in professional APG labs. Students are exposed to real-world technology and provide assistance to the engineers and scientists who work at APG to support the Soldier.
