The U.S. Army envisions a future where sensors intuitively interact with each other to share information with Soldiers. CERDEC Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate’s researchers are now one step closer to enabling this common operating environment through the development of a foundational software architecture.
The Integrated Sensor Architecture enables sensors within an area of operation to “talk” without requiring physical integration. ISA dynamically locates other sensors on the network and accesses their information to improve situational awareness for Soldiers.
